WHAT WE DO
WITH YOUR INFORMATION.
Davenwick is a small website with a contact form. There is no account to create, no newsletter and no advertising. This page explains exactly what happens to what you send us.
- We use what you send us to answer your enquiry, and nothing else.
- We do not run analytics, advertising or tracking on this site.
- We never sell or rent your details, and we never add you to a marketing list.
- Ask us to delete what we hold about you and we will.
What the contact form collects
When you use the form at davenwick.com/contact, you choose what to send us:
- Required: your name, your email address and your message.
- Optional: your business name and your website.
- Optional attachments: up to three PNG, JPG, WebP or PDF files, 10 MB in total.
Please do not send passwords, bank details, or your own customers’ personal information through the form. If you need to share something sensitive, tell us and we will agree on a safer way first.
Who handles it on the way to us
Two companies are involved in getting your message to our inbox:
- Cloudflare hosts this website, runs the security check on the form and delivers your message to our mailbox. To tell people from bots and to limit abuse, Cloudflare processes your IP address at the moment you submit the form. We do not store your IP address ourselves, and the form writes to no database.
- Purelymail hosts our
contact@davenwick.commailbox, where your message and any attachments arrive as an ordinary email.
Both run infrastructure outside Australia, so your message may pass through servers overseas on its way to us. That is normal for web and email hosting, but you should know it.
Cookies and the security check
This website sets no cookies of its own and does not track you between visits. On the contact page, Cloudflare’s security check may store a short-lived token or cookie in your browser for one purpose only: confirming you are not a bot.
What we do not do
No analytics or visitor statistics. No advertising, and no advertising pixels. No profiling. No passing your details to anyone else for their own purposes. No newsletter, and no marketing emails unless you have clearly asked for them.
How long we keep it
Your enquiry stays in our mailbox for as long as it is useful to the conversation, or to a project we end up working on together, and for as long as we are required to keep business records. Attachments live inside that same email. They are never published on this website and are not stored anywhere public.
If you email us directly
Writing to contact@davenwick.com reaches the same mailbox and is treated the same way. Messages sent to our older contact@davenwick.com.au address are forwarded there too.
Your choices
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to contact@davenwick.com and we will deal with it ourselves, normally within a few days. If you are not satisfied with how we respond, you can raise it with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
Security
The website and the form run over HTTPS, the form is protected against automated abuse, and access to the mailbox is limited to Davenwick. No system is perfect, and we would rather say so plainly than promise otherwise.
Changes to this page
If we add anything that collects information, such as online booking or analytics, we will update this page before it goes live.
